Why do I own MSFT?

EP13 · MSFT — Microsoft: the all-day stack

In production · coming soon in this series

The short answer

I own MSFT because I touch some part of its stack all day, every day: Office for the documents, Azure for the cloud our work runs on, and Windows on most of the computers around me. If Microsoft vanished tomorrow, all three would need replacing at once. A stack woven that deep into the workday is not a habit you switch off.

The full note

This episode is in production. The written note is below first; the bilingual video will be embedded here when it publishes.

The office software is Microsoft. The cloud our work runs on every day is Azure. And look around — at the office and in daily life, most of the computers still run Windows. Office, Azure, Windows: one stack, and we touch some part of it all day, every day.

That is the series test passed three times over. If Microsoft vanished tomorrow, the documents, the spreadsheets, the cloud the work runs on and the machines themselves would all need replacing at once. A stack woven that deep into the workday is not a habit you switch off — and that is why this holding sits on the list too.

In one line: Office at the desk, Azure in the cloud, Windows on the machines — Microsoft all day, every day. That's why I own it too.

Research and education only. This series is one small investor's personal holding notes — why he bought, in his own words. It is not investment advice, not a recommendation, and not a promise of returns. Holdings change, prices fall, and a product one household cannot replace can still be a bad investment at the wrong price. Read the full disclaimer before acting on anything here.
